Conrad is a children’s poet living and working in West Yorkshire. He has a wife, three daughters, and a dog called Pebbles who is utterly ridiculous in every way, but also extremely lovable.
Conrad has written five books of children’s poetry and is currently working on book number six. He believes that writing poems is an excellent way to put off doing proper jobs – things like emptying the bin, washing the dishes, or taking Pebbles for a walk. He also thinks that creating poems is a lot of fun – so much so that he visits gazillions of schools to help children to write their own masterpieces.
Conrad says that ideas for poems sometimes pop into his head totally unbidden, but that most of the time he finds that it is children who come up with the best ideas – so he just steal theirs. He’s sure they don’t mind…
