A huge thank you to all the publishers who have supported our book awards since its inception in 2023, which have proven to be an incredible success! Children from thirty schools and five libraries in underprivileged areas have been introduced to various authors and illustrators through an array of book titles, igniting their passion for reading.

We are excited to encourage children to read aloud excerpts from their favorite stories, which we will share online to spread the joy of reading.

Timeline  TBC

Back in 2027 – We are taking a break this year and considering running bi-annually, due to the organisation and demands

Each winning author or illustrator will receive an award. Additionally, we will organise a draw for one of our winning authors to visit a participating school or library. If any publishers are interested in funding more visits, that would be greatly appreciated! We are also seeking sponsors for each award.

The judging panel will consist of primary age children.

For submissions, please email:  info@christinagabbitas.com with “CLF Book Award” in the subject line. Include the following details: Title, Author, Illustrator, and Category.
